Does vitamin B12 deficiency cause stomach or digestive issues?

Does vitamin B12 deficiency cause stomach or digestive issues?
Even though it is generally the opposite, like the other answers suggested; vitamin B12 deficiency can also cause digestive issues.

The tongue on the right is a normal one. The one on the left has a glossy appearance and it is called atrophic glossitis. If the vitamin B12 deficiency is present for a long time, the tongue might start to lose its papillae and become atrophic. This can cause a burning sensation and increased sensitivity to certain types of food, resulting in eating and stomach problems.
